With the best fireworks display in the area illuminating the skies against the backdrop of Ely Cathedral, the annual date has earned itself the reputation of being the biggest event in Ely's community calendar, attracting thousands, and also featuring side stalls and family attractions

GUYS

The display was started by members of Ely and District Round Table in 1974 in response to a number of injuries involving fireworks set off at home. Ely XT, with its roots in Round Table, continues to organise the display with the help of Battel Bonfire Boyes who will once again be lighting up the skies over the Cathedral.
As in previous years, the event will be organised and staffed by an ever increasing band of volunteers, Ely's own "Event Makers"! This popular event is provided by the community for the community so if you want to be involved please contact us.

As always we appeal for people to buy their tickets in advance to cut down on congestion at the park gates. We also ask people not to bring their own fireworks or sparklers for safety reasons and to reduce the amount of unsightly litter to be cleared up the following day.

For safety reasons and to reduce the amount of waste to clear up, personal fireworks and sparklers are not allowed at the event. Whilst every precaution will be taken to ensure the safety of spectators, stewards and St John Ambulance will be on site to deal with and record any accident or injury. They will be located at the top and bottom ends of the park

In the interest of crowd safety, we do ask people to be patient when leaving the display. The park, whilst being a stunning venue for the display, has limited exits which means there can be significant delays at the end of the display.   There is also an exit only via the Sacrist's Gate to the High Street.
